Scenes from last week

Here are a few pictures from my busy week last week!

Tuesday: spin class.  I decided to go festive with new ProCompression holiday socks!IMG_1479IMG_1483After class a few of us went out for margaritas and tacos.  They were delicious!IMG_1485And a better shot of my festive compression socks…IMG_1486

Thursday: treadmill run with 3 x 1:00 hill repeats, 15:00 tempo run, 3 x 1:00 hill repeats.  Wow, that second set of hill repeats was tough!IMG_1496

Friday: my legs were exhausted!  In order to prepare for a big weekend of running ahead I wore my comfy Zensah compression socks to work.IMG_1501

Saturday: I had a one hour zone build run with 3 x 10:00 intervals, increasing pace every 2:00.  The last time I did this workout I started way too fast.  This time I made sure I could build my intervals and kept challenging myself to make the next one faster.  Success!IMG_1507

Sunday: my long run day!  My plan was to run 18.5 mi.  After running from Edworthy IMG_1521I decided to switch up my route a bit, going past Memorial Park IMG_1524along the Elbow River through Stanley Park IMG_1527down the pathway to Sandy Beach Park IMG_1528and up a huge hill in to River Park IMG_1529finishing up near a McDonalds where I refuelled with some hot, delicious French fries.IMG_1532

And that was my week of workouts in a nutshell!  Here is my week number four of the Holiday Bootie Buster Challenge:

  • Running: 34.48 mi = 34.48 points

  • Spinning 90 min = 9 points

  • Fruits/veggies/FB participation = 8

  • Foam Rolling 15 min = 0.75 points

  • TOTAL = 52.23 points

  1. Ah yes. The never ending killer hill up out of Sandy Beach. I've nearly had a heart attack on that hill. That's a beautiful route to run. Any of your coworkers notice the socks? And aside from the visit to Mcikies, great week!

  2. Central Memorial! You were near my house! Where I was inside, being lazy, not healthy like you. ;)
